Where your data lives
By default, your pet's profile, your trip files and their progress are stored in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.
As soon as you link your file to your email address, that data is also stored on our servers so you can find it again after changing device: your pet's name, species, breed, weight, date of birth, microchip number and rabies vaccination date, their photo, your routes, the plan you bought, your step progress and the amount paid.
The plan you bought is frozen at the moment of purchase and is never silently recalculated: it is the record that makes the compliance guarantee verifiable, and that is why it is kept.
As long as you do not link your file, nothing leaves your browser — and clearing the cache, changing device or browsing privately erases everything with no way to recover it.
Processors handling data on our behalf
Site and data hosting: Vercel (United States) and Supabase (database and email-link sign-in).
Payment: Stripe. Card details are entered at Stripe and never pass through Pawmit.
Email delivery (deadline calendar, reminders and, once only a few days after the flight date, a request to review your trip): our sending provider, for delivery of the message only.
Portrait Studio, if you use it: the photo is sent to the Google Gemini API for as long as it takes to produce the image.
Audience measurement: PostHog, on its European Union servers. No cookie is set — persistence is forced to memory, so nothing survives closing the tab.
PostHog also records how the session unfolds (session replay) to show where the journey breaks down. Form fields are masked by default, and the travel card preview — the one place the pet's name appears while being typed — is explicitly excluded from the recording.
For how long
Data attached to a trip is kept for 3 years from the last activity on the account, a period that covers the window during which the guarantee can be claimed after the flight date.
Your pet's profile is kept for as long as your file exists. Deleting it, on request, erases the profile and every trip attached to it.
Audience measurement
Measurement is anonymous, with no cookie or identifier: no pet name, email or microchip number is transmitted. Your browser's Do Not Track signal is honoured.
Cookies
One technical cookie: pawmit_locale, kept for one year, remembers the language you chose so we don't ask again on every visit. It serves no other purpose and is read by nobody but this site.
Marketing emails
If you tick the dedicated box in your account area, your email address is added to our mailing list to occasionally receive our news and offers — a processing purpose separate from transactional emails (purchase summary, deadline reminders), which do not depend on this box.
Legal basis: your consent, withdrawn as easily as it was given — untick the box in your account area, or click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email. Withdrawal is immediate and does not affect transactional emails, still owed for as long as your file is active.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability: vstudio.vp@gmail.com. Local data is erased by clearing the site's data in your browser.
